| * I would have put this in Technical, but my main objective of this post is to get info about Sport 500s or a dyno sheet, so I thought General would be a better fit. I have the following mods all less than 5K miles on them: - Sport 500 turbos @ 12 PSI
- SpecialtyZ 3" downpipes w/ 3" to 2.5" exhaust
- JWT pop charger
- EGR/AIV deleted
- '95 USDM engine in a '93, '93 ECU w/ '95 wiring harness
- SpecialtyZ ECU chip
- No, I do not have bigger injectors yet. I have them planned on the next round of upgrades this year. I'm having many problems with my car delivering the right power..it seems to be running overly rich..I'm pulling the engine tonight and trying to find and fix everything.. - I can't perform a successful boost leak test because the inlet of one of my turbos appears to have broken thread on one side, so the inlet pipe has a small leak in it. It is vacuum and is not a big enough leak to suck in air (run lean), but it will not allow me to build up much pressure (about 3 PSI) so I can't test the entire system thoroughly. - I'm about 75% sure the reason for my lack of power is a boost leak on the line going to the wastegate actuators. After inspecting it, it seems neither one of them has a clamp and the air hose is not OEM. - I can't tell if VTC is operational or not. I tried unplugging the VTC solenoids and taking a cruise, then plugging it back in and trying again, I really sensed no difference in the lower end. It seems laggy/slow before 3K rpms. - The consult port is not operational and I can't use ConZult to troubleshoot. The ECU is good with no trouble codes. My questions: 1) Does anyone have dyno sheets with similar mods or an educated guess about how much power I SHOULD be making? 2) What way could I test to see if VTC is operational? 3) How likely is it that the air hoses to the actuators without a clamp would cause a large enough boost leak to do something like this?
